This wildlife safari will take you to five of the Northern parks of Tanzania for one night each park. They are home to many animals large and small, including birds and reptiles. Accommodation can be inside the parks at standard or luxury lodges, or budget or luxury tented camps. You will experience and enjoy nature, wildlife, habits, and habitats of the fauna and flora in their natural areas.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, drive thirty kilometers with a packed lunch to Arusha National park for a game drive. This park is a home to buffalo, elephant, giraffe, Colobus monkeys, baboon and many birds including Turraco and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch and then proceed with an afternoon game drive before returning to town at 16:30. Dinner and overnight in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive on tarmac road for one hundred twenty kilometers to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge for a hot lunch. After lunch continue with afternoon game viewing in the park, home to giraffe, elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala and more. Over four hundred fifty species of birds have been observed and more than three thousand elephants have been recorded in this park. Later, the drive will return you to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
Following an early breakfast at 6:30 a.m., drive one hundred eighty kilometers to Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch. Descend to the Crater floor for both morning and afternoon game drives where you may see all of the big five. Rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant live in this wonderful caldera, along with others such as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok, a hippo pool. After lunch, proceed with game viewing until 4:45 p.m. when you ascend from the Crater for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Breakfast in Ngorongoro then launch a journey with game drives and lunch on the way to the Great Serengeti National park. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue with afternoon game viewing in the park, home to giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocs and more. Some of the many birds in the habitat include Eurasia migrants. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti – Lake Manyara National Park
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti and then back to your lodge or Camp at 8:45 a.m. for breakfast. Following check-out, drive two hundred twenty kilometers to Manyara via Olduvai Gorge and Masai village if you choose. There will be a stop for lunch on the way. A short evening walk of about three kilometers is available or relax around the camp. Dinner and overnight at Manyara.
Day 6: Lake Manyara – Arusha
After a relaxed breakfast you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. With a bit of luck, you may see the renown tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara. At 12:45 p.m., leave the park and return to your lodge or camp for a hot lunch. After lunch, check-out and return to Arusha.
